The Cover for Vintage Soul, the Five Star Edition
Yesterday I was adding cover images to the little java widget on my various blogs and pages. It scrolls through book covers, and each cover is linked to a page where the book can be purchased. I had the cover art from Alan M. Cark for the book - but no text was in place yet. I’d been waiting, but figured it was about time I got it out there where people could get a good look.
The point is, of course, that almost as soon as I’d gone to all that work, the cover art - with text in place - arrived in e-mail fro the publisher. That’s just how it works, you know? Anyway, that said - I’ll have this up on the java widget later, for here’s the Five Star / Thompson Gale cover for VINTAGE SOUL - Book 1 of The Dechance Chronicles.
I wrote this during Nanowrimo, and I’ve created a separate website to sort of share my Nano experiences, promote this book in particular, and separate that effort from here, where I just want to generally talk about whatever comes to mind…
You can find that website at VINTAGE SOUL

Very nice cover, and clean, clear text design. It’s elegant.

Yep…I like it a lot. Sadly, unless we convince Five Star that this is a mystery (lol) Book 1 is the only one they will be publishing!

Looks very good. I hate to hear that Five Star is going to be no more. I’ve really liked working with them and I couldn’t be happier with the books themselves.

Yeah, I hate to see it too..but if you can write mysteries, there might still be hope if you want to work with them. their original focus was mystery and romance books…those, as I understand it, will continue.
