The Subtle Ties That Bind
My buddy and long-time collaborator, Brian A. Hopkins, had a publishing company at one point. He was providing anthologies and collections on CD ROM with audio and video components, cool artwork, and a nifty PDF interior. In 2002, he published a collection of my short stories in this format - The Subtle Ties that Bind - which is based on my story by that same title from the anthology Love in Vein II. The collection features the artwork of Mr. Thomas Arensberg, and was released as a limited edition of 200 copies (as well as a lettered set with a hand-made slip-case and a hand-inscribed haiku in silver metallic ink on each of the lettered copies…each haiku is different.
The stories all have a real audio introduction by myself. There is also a recording of my first published story, read by yours truly, also in real audio format. If I can figure out a good way to do it, I’m going to put that RA file up here on the site for folks to listen to, but being Real Audio, it’s a problem. We’ll see if I can find a good way to make it work.
