New York Giants - MVP to the wrong guy? Next Year…
Well, I’m not a big fan of New England, though I’d have loved to see Jr. Seau get a ring. That’s not why this Superbowl pisses me off though. What pisses me off is that Eli Manning gets to be the MVP. Why you might ask? I’ll tell you.
Because his Daddy whined about San Diego being a bad choice, he refused to play for the team he was drafted with, and he got away with it…that’s horse-crap, and most players wouldn’t even get away with it. I am not saying I wish he’d played for the Chargers, I’m happy with Rivers, but I wish he’d stood up to his Dad. Archie manning is still bitter over wasting his career with a New Orleans team that sucked…he should let his sons do their own thinking.
And why is Eli the MVP? If that receiver hadn’t leaped a mile in the air to catch a pss that was only in his direction by accident, none of it would have happened. HE deserved the MVP … or someone on the defense who got all into Tom Brady’s face…Eli had a mediocre performance…interception…just not a happy game for me - Superbowl-wise.
In any case…props to the NY Giants…they got it done, and they are the champs…just hate to see Eli riding high on that wave…
