Nanowrimo Novel Read Along - Read “The Ledger” as I Write It
Every year that I’ve participated in Nanowrimo, I’ve had a mailing list for people who wanted to sign up and read along as I wrote. While that’s been fun, mailing lists are clunky, hard to manage, and not very aesthetically pleasing, so this year I’ve done something a bit different. I’ve created a separate WordPress blog for the book. I found a plug-in that allows me to mark the posts that contain the novel as private. People will be able to read public notes on the site, but to read along with the novel in progress, which has a working titled of “The Ledger,” you have to register as a member of the blog. Then, when you go to read the daily chapters you log in, and there they are. This will allow me separate comments threads on each chapter, cleaner text for all readers, an overall cleaner and more pleasant experience.
Hop on over to: THE NANO READ ALONG SITE and register. I’m well into the outline of the novel, which involves secret societies, the drug trade, international intrigue, a little science fiction, and a touch of fantasy. It should be fun, and I should be done by the end of November.
