Hunting Hickory Nuts, Persimmons and old Bones
Over at Storytellers Unplugged it’s my day in the hotseat, and I wrote about a discovery I’ve made in my fiction - an ability to tap into some very deep, very emotional moments in my past and warp them into something different, but somehow believable and powerful. The two most notable examples of this would be the novella “Roll Them Bones,” and the novelette “The Call of Father Shores,” both of which have been among my most remembered works. There are scenes like this in the novel Ancient Eyes, as well.
Anyway, this is a pointer. Head on over and see what I wrote at Storytellers this month, then either tell me what you think there - or here…both work fine for me. I’m off to do some eBay packing, some writing, and play some guitar hero. I’m actually getting pretty good…

The Storytellers link doesn’t work — the .com is truncated. Fortunately, I know the way and shall shamble over there directly.
